XX Cover Artwork
The HIM heartagram sculpture by Stefan Lindfors will be the cover of XX. The sculpture was made in 2010 for Ville now will be sold in an auction for charity.

"Tears Of Hope" the ninth full-length HIM's album will be released early 2013
"As some of you might've noticed, we'll be releasing a compilation album "XX - Two Decades Of Love Metal" in October 2012, and will end the year by shaking our hips for four nights in a row at the infamous HELLDONE-festival at Tavastia Club in Helsinki.
We're also entering the studio in early September with the producer Hiili Hiilesmaa to work on our ninth full-length album, entitled 'Tears On Tape', to be mixed by Tim Palmer and released early 2013....

New HIM Compilation Album, New Song and New Video in September/October + 4 Nights at Helldone
HIM celebrate 20 years by releasing a compilation album XX – Two Decades of Love Metal. This is the first compilation by the band that covers their whole career. The celebratory compilation includes one new track, Strange World – the first new material from HIM since 2010. Kevin Grivois known by the artist name Ké released the track in the 90s, and it’s one of the personal favourites of Ville Valo. Strange World is released digitally on Friday, September 21st. A music video has been shot for the track. The compilation will be released globally by Sony Music OCTOBER 26TH.
The renowned Helldone Festival will take place again this year. HIM has brought in the New Year at Tavastia Club 11 times, five of which with Helldone Festival. This year HIM will take the Tavastia stage four nights in a row. The Festival will announce ticket sale dates and schedules in the near future.
In September HIM will start working on a new studio album with Tim Palmer to be released in winter 2013. HIM can be seen on tour and at festivals in the spring, summer and fall 2013.

No HIM gig at Helldone.
Helldone Myspace confirms that this new year's eve there will no HIM gig because the band is working on new songs for the forthcoming album.

New HIM album in 2012
According with Seppo Vesterinen in a interview at iltalehti.fi the band must have ready a new album at the end of this year and must be released some time next year. There is not any news about the label but there are some offers. The band will not tour until the album release but maybe will do the gig at tavastia at new years eve.

HIM part ways with Sire/Warner Music
After 6 years and three albums, Finnish rock band HIM and Sire/Warner Music have decided to part ways.
Seymour Stein, founder of Sire Records says: "It was a pleasure working with HIM, and we're very proud to have been their partners for the last six years. Ville is a rare talent, and my relationship with their manager Seppo dates back to the days when he pioneered rock music in Finland looking after the career of Hanoi Rocks. HIM are particularly important because they are the first and only band from Finland to reach Gold status in America. I, along with the entire Sire/Warner Bros. family, wish them continued success in the future."
HIM's discography on Sire includes the 2005 album Dark Light, which reached gold in the US. Follow-up albums Venus Doom (2007) and Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice (2010) charted both in the US and Europe.
"We're ever so grateful for having had Seymour and Co as the generous hosts on our extended first stay in the New Country. It's been a Blast Royale but now it's time to clean up the rubble and start anew", comments Ville Valo of HIM.
